RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage US Dept. of Energy Reading Room, US Federal Depository, and SC State Depository documents collections; provide reference services for government documents collections and the main library collections; participate actively in information literacy instruction program and collection development; plan and update relevant Library web pages; participate actively in Library and campus planning and governance through committee service; some supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
$B!| (B Master of Library Science or Master of Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited program
$B!| (B Experience in the use of traditional and Web-based library resources
$B!| (B Strong commitment to public service and teamwork
$B!| (B Ability to work collaboratively
$B!| (B Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills
$B!| (B Familiarity with information technology and its applications in an academic setting
Preferred Qualifications:
$B!| (B Experience with government documents collections and knowledge of US Federal Depository Library Program guidelines and requirements
$B!| (B Knowledge of and experience with reference, library instruction, and collection development
$B!| (B Knowledge of assessment tools
$B!| (B Knowledge of "best practices" in academic libraries
$B!| (B Evidence of a strong commitment to remain current in library and information science

Salary: $40,000 - 42,000 depending upon qualifications.
