Hallo James
Bill and his group have done some work on tile drainage and it is part of
the CERES-maize model, but I do not think it was ever activated, I think it
need additional inputs. When I was still at the ARC in South Africa we put a
basic water logging subroutine together that will run on the basic file
structure input. The paper published is

A.S. du Toit, M.A. Prinsloo, B.M. Wafula & PK Thornton, 2002, Incorporating
a water-logging routine into CERES-Maize, and some preliminary evaluation,
Water SA Vol. 3: 323-328.

This was done after we try to use CERES-Maize in Kenya and find that we have
problems simulating the yield on soils that have a tendency to water logged.
Hope this help

Regards
Andre

Dear Colleagues,

I received a request for guidance on using CERES-Maize to assess losses
expected from intermittent flooding in Kenya. Are you familiar with any
adaptations of the CERES models that simulate damage from anaerobic
conditions?

Regards,
