John Porter (a well-known crop modelers originally in the UK, now in
Denmark) was recently awarded the presitgeous Bertebos Prize by the Swedish
Royal Forestry and Agricultural Academy.

A conference was just held in which John delivered the Bertebos Lecture at
the Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry. I was impressed that
one of "us" achieved that recognition, and thought that you DSSAT
