Dear Teachers,
Last year 27 teams participated in the Wildlife Management Contest held at
Tift County High School with awards presented to both junior and senior
teams/individuals. The invitational is a great opportunity to expose
students to Environmental Natural Resources, Junior Natural Resources, and
Forestry related Career Development Event material.
This year the event will take place in Cochran, Ga. on Thursday, November 2,
2006.
Several rule changes have been made to the contest. They are:
1. All four team participants will compete in the team activity together
2. The team activity will have a 30 minute time limit
3. The Wildlife Identification portion has additions and deletions to the
list, the disease portion has been omitted and equipment has been added.
4. The extemporaneous practicum has been deleted and Boating
Regulations/Aquatic Identification has been added.
Event locations, directions, schedules, registration deadlines, and score
sheets will be posted to the listserv in the near future (Hopefully on
Monday). Please contact me if you have any questions or resources that can
be used for this contest.
Thanks,
W. Justin Sealy
