Sign up for this one fast if you would like to attend - we have limited
space. Special grant funding has been receive that will cover you hotel
cost and most of your meal cost as well as each teacher will receive a
$250.00 equipment grant and also a stipend for attending!

It will be held a few miles outside of Savannah. Please look over and
register at once if you are interested. We can only take a limited number
of teachers, so the sooner you register, the better. This should be
excellent training to prepare you to train an Envirothon team. The final
day will consist of a mock Envirothon contest for teachers. Each teacher
attending will receive a lot of supplemental materials to train an
Envirothon team and to use in your classroom. Since this workshop has some
outside sponsorships, you will need to register in two ways -one on the web
like you would do for all your other workshops and also by sending in the
attached form. Please let me know if you have questions. Here is some
additional information on this class:

High school science and agricultural education teachers are invited to
participate in the ELSIE (Environmental Literacy Studies In Education)

Georgia Warnell Forest Education Center in Guyton, Georgia (just outside
Savannah), teachers will experience hands on, inquiry based training in
forestry, soils, aquatics, and wildlife. In addition, teachers will
receive room (double occupancy) and board (breakfast and lunch), three (3)
SDU, a stipend, instructional materials and resources suitable for the
classroom, and a $250 mini grant.

The Institute is sponsored by the University of Georgia and the Georgia
Department of Education.
Review and complete the registration form. The form is available in PDF,
Word and RTF. With the registration form in PDF, you will need to have
Adobe Reader, available free on the Web. If you wish, you can complete the
requested information on the PDF registration form while online, print and
then submit with payment of $100 postmarked no later than May 15.
