Teachers,

Good afternoon! I hope that each of you have had a great week and
that your spring is going well.

We are in the process of finalizing the state Ag Ed calendar for
2004-2005, and I need to submit dates for the FFA leadership
conferences and activities.

Some of you have expressed to me your thoughts on moving the
fall Greenhand Jamboree, Discovery Conference and Career
Conference from the first weekend of December. If you have
thoughts on this issue, please let me know.

Here are some possible alternative dates:
        -September 24-25, 2004
        -October 1-2, 2004
        -November 12-13, 2004

Another question requiring your input:
-Should we move the three conferences; Discovery (middle
school), Greenhand (9th grade), and Career (11-12th grade) to
three separate weekends in the fall to allow each to increase in
maximum numbers? Or would that have a negative impact on
        attendance?

Please pass along your ideas to me via email or phone, and please
understand that there is not a way to please everyone. It is my
sincere desire to do whatever will make it the easiest for you to
bring your students to our leadership conferences.

Also, please understand that these questions are only being asked
because attendance at these leadership conferences has
continued to rise for the past three years. So, thank you for what
you do! Please help me continue to offer a product that you and
your students will want to be a part of.

Thanks, and have a great weekend. - Ben
