                Jacks Creek Farm - Opportunity

Teachers,

Jack's Creek Farm is one of the oldest and largest Choose and Cut
Christmas Tree operations in Georgia. They began selling
Christmas trees in 1976. They now produce Leyland cypress,
White Pine, Virginia pine, Red Cedar, and Western Cedar on 60
rolling acres. Adjacent to the Christmas tree farm is a 40 acre
nursery that specializes in screen material (primarily Leyland
cypress) but also produces landscape trees and shrubs. They ship
nationwide. Certified Tree Farm.

Details of the Farm Tour are:
September 4 - October 31
Open on Saturdays 9:00 - 5:00 (hay rides on the hour)

Farm Tour includes:
Christmas Tree production
Nursery Production
Irrigation

Family or student activities also include:
Pumpkin picking (when ready)
Cotton farming in the old days
History of Jack's Creek
Old hydraulic ram water pump (no electricity needed)
Firewood cutting using an old "popping John" John Deere tractor
Old sawmill in operation
Jack's Creek brand cornmeal produced using an old corn mill
Farm animals
Grandma's Christmas Shoppe
CORN MAZE
