Syngenta Crop Protection, Inc. is seeking a Geospatial Scientist for the
Environmental Fate and Exposure Assessment Group at Greensboro, NC, USA.
Qualifications:
* Ph. D. or M.S. degree in Environmental Sciences, Agronomy, Soil
Science, Geography, Agricultural Engineering, Ecology or related fields.
* Background knowledge and hands-on experience with GIS, RS, and
geostatistical software.
* Understanding of Spatial Data Development processes and GIS
applications in environmental, agricultural, and/or ecological fields.
Required Skills:
* Mapping experience with the full suite of ESRI products, ArcGIS (9.x,
or 8.x, and ArcView 3.x), ArcIMS, ArcObjects, ArcSDE and other ESRI
mapping tools.
* Experience with GIS data processing and conversions are essential.
* Working knowledge of relational database concepts and software is
required.
* Demonstration of extensive experience with integrating a wide variety
of spatial data (i.e., USGS, NASS, etc.) within GIS is required.
* Experience with image analysis software is required (ERDAS, ENVI,
etc.)
Required Experience:
Over two years of hands-on experience with GIS software, especially ESRI
GIS software suite is essential. At least two years of successful
utilization of GIS technology in a related field is required.
Salary: Dependent on Experience
