Our Sustainable Production (SP) group's modelling team develops and
applies agro-ecosystems models to benefit New Zealand's primary
industries by integrating knowledge about component crop, soil, water
and environmental systems. The models are used as research tools for the
development of decision support systems and improved management
practices for farming. We currently have two vacancies for researchers
interested in applying quantitative science skills to simulation
modelling in agricultural production systems.

Senior Modeller (Vacancy 048). As the leader of the Systems Modelling
team, you will promote the discipline of modelling within Plant & Food
Research and be responsible for liaising with research collaborators.

Systems Modeller (Vacancy 049). This is an opportunity for a graduate
(at least a BSc (Hons) or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as
mathematics, engineering, computer science, or a biological science with
a strong quantitative emphasis. Previous experience with simulation
modelling and strong computer programming skills will be an advantage.

If this sounds like you, please visit our website www.plantandfood.com
for more information including application details.

To apply, send your application details, C.V. and a covering letter to
