All,

As usual each year, shorebirds started trickling in the first week of July here on Key Biscayne. The regulars: Black-bellied, Wilson's, Semipalmated and Piping (5 days earlier than last year) Plover, Willet, Ruddy Turnstone, Sanderling and Short-billed Dowitcher. Uncommon was Greater Yellowlegs on July 12.

Variety and numbers usually pick up the third week of July.
