One of the oldest, most prestigious honors program that focuses public
attention on excellence in teaching is the Teacher of the Year
Program.
Because of his innovative approach, student focus, and teamwork with
other teachers, Christopher Stripling was named the 2008 Ola High
School Teacher of the Year.
Ola High School is located near Metro Atlanta in Georgia's fastest
growing communities in Henry County.
Bursting with 2,000 students and a staff of more than 125 teachers
competition is steep for teacher of the year.
Mr. Stripling's work is genuine, heart felt, and imaginative.
For those who don't know Christopher, this is only his second year of teaching.
Teachers attending the Agriscience workshop this summer take note - as
Christopher will be leading the plant science section of the staff
development.
Christopher has the keen ability to bring together creativity and
agscience engaging his students to learn and connect with the big
ideas of science.
Agriculture educators be inspired by such commitment to excellence in
classroom instruction and dedication to empowering students to excel
in school.
Kudos to you Mr. Stripling!
