Stanford University's Program on Food Security and Environment seeks a
post-doctoral research scholar in modeling crop responses to climate
variability and change. The successful candidate will synthesize data
from experimental maize trials conducted throughout Africa, develop
climate records for these sites, and use the data to test various models
of maize response to heat and drought stress. A PhD in a relevant field
and experience with crop modeling is required. Experience with field
trial data and spatial statistics is highly desired. The position will
be a one year initial appointment, based at Stanford beginning in summer
of 2009, with extensive travel during the year. An extension for an
additional year is possible based on performance and funding
availability. A resume, one recent publication, and names of two
potential references should be sent to [log in to unmask], with the
subject line "crop-climate post-doc". An affirmative action, equal
opportunity employer, Stanford University thanks you for your interest!
