We have both a large-format scanner & plotter but they are explicitly NOT
self-service. Although they are not particularly difficult to use they are
both quite easily damaged by someone who doesn't know what they're doing &
in our current budget situation would be difficult if not impossible to
replace either one. Because they're not self-service we for both print &
digital output - we also have a self-service 11 x 17 flatbed scanner for
people who don't want to pay for scanning.

Greetings all,
A question for those of you who have plotters in or near your map
collections or within your library.
How many of your libraries have a plotter accessible to patrons in a
public area? Where is it located and is it a self-serve or mediated
service? In other words how many of you have plotters that are
self-serve to patrons?
I would be very interested in knowing what's happening in your environments.
Thanks in advance
John Olson
