Congratulations Dan! I'm here to tell you, being a retired map
librarian is almost as good as being a working map librarian... well,
no committee meetings, no supervising, no budget cuts... maybe better.

On Monday, June 1, 2009, I retired from the Indiana University
Libraries after a little more than 35 years. I was Head of the
Geography and Map Library from 1974-1997 and a map cataloger since
then. I will still be reading MAPS-L and I will be at the
ALA-MAGERT meetings in Chicago in July.
