Dear Kelly, Missing data is a huge problem for me, for I want to research average yield per mu in China during 1644-1911. I 've read many books, in order to construct the weahter condition per year, per month, per day. It takes too much of my time, but still very hard to accomplish. Can you give me an advince? Thank you.

Hello all,

Two questions:

1. What value should I input for trace rainfall amounts?

2. What should I do when there are missing data from my weather station
(for example if the Tmax and Tmin were not recorded for several days or
weeks in a row)? Currently, the station would input 99999 to indicate
if the data were not recorded. I am using NOAA COOP daily data.

Thank you,
