We are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow working on Modelling Agriculture
and Climate Change Interactions.

Tentative starting time: April 2010

Term: one year, renewable up to two more years

Work description:

1.      Modeling productivities of crops and bio-energy crops (including
trees and grasses) 
2.      Modeling impacts of cropping system and grassland on the
environment (soil carbon, N loss and GHG emission) 
3.      Modeling climate change impacts on production and coping
strategies. 

 

Qualification/Assets:

 

1.      The selection will be from the list of Visiting Fellowships in
Canadian Government Laboratories Program by Natural Sciences and
Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). For the eligibility

2.      Agronomy and crop physiology 
3.      Crop/plant modelling and decision support system (DSSAT and/or
other models) 
4.      Statistical analysis (mixed model, sensitivity analysis,
uncertainty analysis, etc.) 
5.      Computer languages (C++ and FORTRAN) 
6.      GIS and remote sensing 
7.      Scientific publication in English
