Hi Everyone,
Someone just posted a really interesting article to MapHist about the
globe company Nova Rico. Here is the article:
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/08/15/world/europe/15italy.html?ex=1187841600&en=7c57c583740f7b05&ei=5070&emc=eta1
I have a question - does anyone know of a good US source for globes in
non-English languages? For example, the Turkish globe from Nova Rico
mentioned in the article - and I quote: " For a Turkish customer, Cyprus
is shown split in two, a division that Greek Cypriots do not recognize."
We have French, German, Spanish, Chinese and Arabic globes, a Japanese
globe on the way - but I'm curious about MORE! It seems you just take
what you can get when you can get it but that there might be a nice
source out there that someone can share with the list.
Thanks.
Angie
