The Grim Reaper's road map: An atlas of mortality in Britain
by Mary Shaw, Bethan Thomas, George Davey Smith and Daniel Dorling.
The Policy Press, 2008

http://www.sasi.group.shef.ac.uk/publications/reaper.html

A very interesting atlas of causes of death in Britain (stabbing and heart disease seem to be a "Scottish diseases", while skin cancer rates seem worst along the Channel Coast...)

The geographical representation in the maps is also very interesting, using parliamentary consistuencies drawn as hexagons, broken down into neighbourhoods, so that the map visually represents population densities.
