The latest schedule for the IFLA Geography and Map Libraries Section at the World Library and Information Congress, Seoul, Korea, August 18 - 25, 2006 may be found by going to www.ifla.org and click on activities, then select the Geography and Map Libraries Section. A draft copy of the schedule is included in the June 2006 edition of the Section Newsletter.
This is an exciting time to be holding a library meeting in Asia. Librarians always seem to be where the action is! Remember the meetings in Russia and Jerusalem in 1991 and 2000? Next year the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) will hold the 73rd World Congress in Durban, South Africa, August 19-23, 2007 and the 74th World Congress will be held in Quebec City, Canada, August 10 -15, 2008. Plan to attend now and send your paper proposals early.
