Onderwerp: Crowd funding
Has anyone on the list tried crowd funding or "adopting" items or
collections of materials to help defray processing and storage costs for
unique or rare items that are fragile? Have you heard of this being
done even if you have not done it yourself? I've been asked to
guesstimate revenue for this type of an activity for the Special
Collecitons department and any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.
Regards,
Becky Lowery

The UIC Library will be undergoing renovations and
facilities improvements March-August, 2014. There
will be service disruptions and limited access to
most of our collections. Appointments are strongly
recommended at least two weeks in advance. The
first phase will take place March 3-April 4.
