Dear Andre,

If you are using DSSAT 4 or 3.5 you will find a very good description of
the tool in DSSAT version 3/3.5 manual volume 4 pp. 111. You will find
the manual in the folder "documentation".
Here is also a link to an Agronomy Journal publication of  T. Engel, G.
Hoogenboom, J. Jones and P. Wilkens from 1997:

AegisWin uses a polygone shapefile as input format for ArcView / ArcGis.
