I have been asked by the head of our Knowledge Commons (i.e.,
Reference) for recommendations on purchasing a good globe for display
and reference. We had one there which was on a nice metal stand, but
basically made of cardboardand it suffered some mishap (whether an
accident or an act of vandalism, I dont know) so that it now has a bad
crack in it. Anyhow, we need a new one, maybe metallic or other more
durable material. Also up-to-date politically and of a decent size, at
least 16 inches diameter. Producer addresses and prices appreciated.
Thanks,
