MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT:
The 2011 FASEB Ciliate Molecular Biology Conference will be held at the
Orthodox Academy of Crete (Kolymvari, Chania, Greece), from July 10-15, 2011.

Location and travel: OAC is 22 km from the city of Chania (or Hania) and 39
km from the international airport Ioannis Daskalogiannis. Most travelers
will fly through Athens, however, there are direct flights from Zurich,
Frankfurt and Munich to Ioannis Daskalogiannis (Condor Airlines, a branch of
Lufthansa). The airport is a 30-40 min drive from the meeting site. Another
option is to take an overnight ferry from the mainland to Crete.

Registration: Registration of invited speakers and applications for
non-invited participants will begin around February 16. The early deadline
date for registration/application to attend the meeting is June 1. The
meeting cost for registrations/applications received by June 1
(registration, meals and lodging) is $1180 pp for a single occupancy room
and $1050 pp for double occupancy rooms. Registrations will remain open up
to 16 days before the meeting or until the maximal number of participants
has been accepted, whichever comes first. The meeting cost for speaker
registrations and general attendee applications received after June 1 will
$100 higher than the prices listed above.

Registration/application forms can be filled out online at
http://www.faseb.org. Payment of the registration fee will be required
after you have been notified of your acceptance to attend a conference.
Accepted participants will receive a separate email from the FASEB SRC
detailing payment instructions. Form of payment: Visa, MasterCard, Discover
and American Express. No checks or purchase orders accepted.

Abstracts: Abstracts for both invited speakers and non-invited meeting
applicants must be submitted at the same time the registration
form/application is submitted. Abstracts are limited to 3000 characters
including spaces, images, and tables and should be written in English. The
presenting author should be listed first in the abstract. The abstract
should contain background, methods, results, and conclusions. The deadline
for submitting abstracts to be considered for plenary talk sessions is May 10.
