Preconference, O Rare! Performance in Special Collections.
June 23 - June 26, 2013 at the Minneapolis Marriott City Center

Join your colleagues for ten panel talks, ten discussion sessions, three
plenaries, nine seminars, six unconference sessions, three RBMS
workshops and ten posters, not to mention the Book Seller’s Showcase, a
Book Arts Fair, and Tech Petting zoo. The preconference also offers many
wonderful tour and reception opportunities.

Diverse plenary topics include theater collections, underground music,
media archeology, new directions for performance collections, and magic
lanterns, all from the point of view of libraries, rare books,
and manuscripts. Expect even more details on the excellent programming

Scholarships are available for first-time attendees as well as well as
several events to help newcomers feel welcome in the RBMS community. The
