Good ideas all.  Can we adopt this policy of complete names for locations, in both post subject lines and personal addresses?

  And a good idea, too, to avoid abbreviating our localities: I assume that this list aspires to a global reach, and the postal abbreviations for US states will be opaque for many users.

          Great suggestion.  It really helps when you get an email box full of
          50+ messages and only enough time to scan the subject lines.

          P.S. If you get a listserv message about your 'REVIEW' status, it is
          simply Bob changing you over to an unmoderated setting.  It's nothing
          to worry about.
