The following shorebirds were observed on/near Bulls Island, South Carolina
over a 2 day period this weekend.  Observers were on field trips during the
Carolina Bird Club's Fall meeting.  Numbers represent high known totals - most
counts are from Friday, since Saturday's numbers have not been forwarded to me
for the most part.

Wilson's Plover - 13
Black-bellied Plover - ~20
Semipalmated Plover - ~30
Killdeer - 2
American Oystercatcher - ~40
Red Knot - 12-15
Whimbrel - 6
Marbled Godwit - ~120 (VERY good count for SC)
Short-billed Dowitcher - 1200+
AMERICAN AVOCET - small group (numbers not forwarded)
Western Sandpiper - ~10
Semipalmated Sandpiper - ~24
Least Sandpiper - 4
Greater Yellowlegs - 3
Lesser Yellowlegs - 2
Solitary Sandpiper - 1
Willet - 500+
Ruddy Turnstone - 25+
Sanderling - 30+
Dunlin - ~20
