Subject: French/English bib records for U.S. topos

Our library has a U.S. topo map (Antigo quad., Wisconsin, 15 minute series)
that apparently has only been cataloged in French (OCLC #494412110). Is it
necessary to create a new cataloging record for this map, so as to have and
"English" bib record, or could we just import this French language
record and
add English-language 6xx fields and other modifications?
