Thanks to Linda for sharing this fun site. We always like to have a few
"lighter" sites for undergraduate tours.
However, I was disappointed to see that the Florida portion of the
Oscar-Mayer place name map did not include Two Egg. This is one of the
classic colorful place names in Florida geography. I can think of a several
types of egg sandwiches and egg soup.

Subject: Who Says Geography isn't Fun?
Hello All,
I recently revised the Place Names on the Internet Web site here at
Arizona State University
http://www.asu.edu/lib/hayden/govdocs/maps/geogname.htm). In the process of
doing so, I discovered a new place name site, which I have had to list under
Just for Fun. It is the Places that Sound Good Enough to Eat site from the
Oscar Mayer company
(http://www.oscar-mayer.com/products/soup.n.sandwich/placenamemap.html). It
lists places that have place names related to soup and sandwiches.
Bye for now. Linda Zellmer
