Please note that all of the cartographic genre/form terms are integrated into the Library of Congress authority file (http://authorities.loc.gov/), which is also available to participants in the OCLC cooperative through the Connexion interfaces. Each of the corresponding authority records is identified by the 040 subfield $f lcgft and the LC Control Number prefix (in field 010) is "gf" for "genre/form."

Rosa,
I've attached a current f/g list for the 655 field for carto resources. I also put this in the group of "ready reference" handouts in a binder of materials for those attending the last couple of map cataloging workshops I've delivered, including at the CARTO 2013 meeting held at the Univ. of Alberta, Edmonton. To my knowledge there have been no changes/additions to this list in at least a year.

Subject: Genre/Form Terms for Cartographic Materials
Hi All,
I am looking for a Genre/Form list for Cartographic Materials (655).
Does such a list exist? The SACO Proposal website from 2011 indicates, "In May 2010 the Policy and Standards Division (PSD) approved approximately 60 genre/form terms for use with cartographic materials.
LC catalogers have used those headings in new cataloging since September 1, 2010.", but I am unable to find the list of the 60 genre/form terms for cartographic materials.
Cheers,
Rosa
