New Students/Orientation

If you should see some new international students and they look a little
bit perplexed next week, like most of us did when we first got here,
please direct them to the ISL office located at 210 Memorial Hall. We
will have Orientation for new students  August 4 - August 6.  Check-in
begins August 4 at 10:00 in 210 Memorial Hall. Please encourage as many
new international students as possible to attend this week long event.
International Orientation is a very beneficial program with a variety of
information that is not discussed in regular orientations designed
especially for international students.  The cost for orientation is only
$10.00 which covers all sessions for the week.  You can preview last
years orientation schedule, which will be basically the same by visiting
the ISL web site at www.uga.edu/isl.

Orientation Pool Party and Ice Cream Social

Welcome new students, returning students and transfer students!  Enjoy
your remaining few days before classes start with ISL.  ISL will host
our annual Orientation Pool Social on Wednesday, August 6, from 7:45
until 10:00 at Legion Pool, located across from the Student Tate Center
on Lumpkin Street.  Everyone is welcome to come out and greet the new
students, eat some home-made ice cream, take a cool and refreshing dip
in the pool, play water volleyball and have fun!  As with all most
International Student Life events.  This event is free!  See you there!
