In making a case for the significance of publications for tenure, we are
saying that there is a small number of journals that are specialized in
this field (e.g., Journal of Map & Geography Libraries, Information
Bulletin of WAML, The Bulletin of the Association of Canadian Map
Libraries and Archives). In general these journals have low or no
"Impact" scores or factors due to their specialized nature and audience
- go figure!
Does anyone have any other journals that can be added to this list? Also
are there suggestions on ways to show that within the map librarian
discipline these are the significant means of publishing results and
other information articles?
Thanks and may you all have a wonderful holiday season.
