Subject: Latest UGA Map Library car incident

In what has apparently become an annual event, the UGA Map Library was once
again hit by a car early last Friday morning. This time it was fortunately
a relatively minor incident - a car went off the road the runs parallel to
the building, took out a "Share the Road" sign and knocked an old inactive
water pipe out of the wall, leaving a hole about a foot across. Even more
fortunately, the car missed hitting the gas main by a couple of feet. The
underage, inebriated driver wasn't hurt and there was no damage to the
collection.
Pictures are forthcoming, although they're not nearly as spectacular as last
year's (this is a good thing!).
