International Student Life Announcements
1. The ISL Office is looking for volunteers who are willing to
temporarily host a new international student for one to three nights in
your home during Fall Orientation 2000.  Most new international students
will be arriving around August 12th to attend the ISL orientation
program from August 13th to August 16th.  Many of the new students need
temporary assistance before they find permanent housing.  If you live
off-campus, we do ask that you provide transportation for the new
student to and from campus.  If you can help, please contact Jackie
Minus at 542-5867.

2. We also need volunteers who have cars to help pick-up international
students from the Athens Airport from August 11 to August 16.  If you
are willing to help provide airport pickup for a new international
student, please contact the ISL Office.

3. ISL invites all interested students to come by and meet one of the
candidates for ISL International Activities Advisor position, on Monday,
June 5th, at 1:30 p.m.  The one hour session will allow any students
interested in meeting and talking to our first candidate. We will meet
at the ISL Lounge, 210 Memorial Hall.  For more information, contact
Saehee Chang.

Student Activities Announcements

1. Enjoy Summer Programs with the University Union!  Do you like to
watch Baseball?  Go and see the Atlanta Braves vs. Chicago Cubs on June
20 and Atlanta Braves vs. New York Mets on July 21.  The ticket price
includes the bus ride to and from the game, at Turner Field in Atlanta.
Tickets are available now at the Ticket Window, Tate Student Center, $5
for UGA students and $11 for non-students.  For more information, call
542-6396 or visit the Student Activities Business Office Ticket Window
at the Tate Center.
