Study Abroad Program Campus Visit
 
Marilyn Hubbard of Beaver College will be doing two presentations for
students on their programs in Great Britain (England, Scotland, Wales,
Ireland), Mexico, Austria, Australia, and Greece. The presentations will
be in 215 Barrow Hall, on March 16 from 2-3 and from 4-5.
 
 
Summer, Fall and Academic Year Scholarship Applications
 
A reminder that the Regent's Scholarship Application for not only Summer
1999, but also FALL 1999 and ACADEMIC YEAR 1999-2000 must be postmarked
by March 16. For the online application, go to
<http://www.peachnet.edu/oie/regentsapp.html>. Fall and academic year
students are especially encouraged to apply (few applications have been
received by the Board of Regent's to date for those terms abroad).
 
 
New Exchange Program
 
Beginning in Spring Semester, 2000, University of Georgia is now
offering a new Exchange Program to the University of Wales, Aberystwyth
in the United Kingdom. It is open to all Arts and Sciences majors with
junior standing at the time of departure and a 3.2 GPA minimum. There
will be courses available in Art, Environmental/Earth Studies, History,
Celtic, English, International Politics and more. Participants pay UGA
tuition (housing, meals and airfare additional). HOPE and Federal
Financial Aid can be used on this and any other study abroad or exchange
program.  Deadline to apply: September 3, 1999. For an application or
