Dear Ciliate Researchers,

The Tetrahymena Genome Database has started our online presentation of
Tetrahymena information with a preview of the database at
http://www.ciliate.org. We now have page that summarizes the work in
various labs. This information is provided by the researchers.

   http://db.ciliate.org/cgi-bin/colleague/labs.pl

If you would like to be included on this Labs page please submit your
contact information. Please follow the link below to the TGD Colleague
search. Contact information for individuals can also be accessed from
the "Quick Search" box found on most TGD pages.

If your name appears already, please check to make sure the information
we have is correct and complete. If you are not yet in our database,
please take a moment to fill out our “Add New Colleague” form.
Information submitted there (research interests, your web page, members
of your lab, and general contact info) will appear on your personal TGD
Colleague page.

TGD is excited about the release of our TGD Textpresso, a powerful
full-text search tool designed by the WormBase project to search
Caenorhabditis literature. Textpresso returns sentences from selected
publications containing one or more keywords, categories of keywords,
or both. We currently have 800 full-text Tetrahymena papers, 3200
abstracts, and 5000 titles available for searching with TGD Textpresso.
We are adding new papers every week.

For a preview of the TGD database enter one of the following gene names
into the "Quick Search" box: PDD1, TWI1, ERF1, GRL1, HHT1, TERT, BTU1,
DYH1, TIF1, or ACTIN. We are announcing the preview now so that you
can start to use the Colleague and Textpresso resources. We will be
announcing many new features over the next few weeks: including much
more genetic/genomic information, Gene Ontology assignments to
Tetrahymena proteins, a BLAST search tool, and a graphical view of the
genome. Please send any comments or suggestions to us at
[log in to unmask] Thank you for helping us develop
this community resource.

Sincerely,
The Staff of TGD
Mike Cherry, Nick Stover, and Cindy Krieger
with assistance from Mayank Thanawala, Gail Binkley and Stan Dong.
