Summer Internship Opportunity
 
There is an unpaid internship opportunity for students in London,
working at the Fulbright Commission's Educational Advisory Service
Office. It should last 13 weeks, full time. The position is for an
Information Officer, who would deal with general inquiries about US
education, and work on projects such as planning and promoting events,
researching publications and information sheets on various aspects of US
education, or producing articles for the EAS newsletter. The candidate
should have a minimum GPA of 3.0, computer skills and office work
experience. The intern will be reimbursed for local travel costs and
will receive lunch vouchers for about $5/day. Please write Lindsey

British Marshall Scholarships 2000-2001
 
British Marshall Scholarships provide full funding for U.S. college
graduates to earn a second undergraduate degree or a graduate degree
from a British university. The awards are approximately $26,000 per year
for at least two years of study.
 
Over 40 scholarships will be given out this year. To apply for a British
Marshall Scholarship, you must be a U.S. citizen who holds a minimum 3.7
GPA and have graduated with an undergraduate degree from a U.S. college
or university after April 30, 1997. Candidates seeking a degree from a
British university in any field of study may apply.
 
The application deadline is October 12, 1999 for the 2000-2001 school
