International Jobs
The newest issue of Current Jobs International has arrived and will be
stored in our study abroad library in 209 Barrow Hall in the long-term
jobs section in a notebook called "International Job Ads".
Passports and Visas
If you are planning on studying abroad this summer, and you have not yet
applied for a passport, you should do that immediately. Also, if you are
planning to be in a country for more than 3 months (or if you are going
to a country where the US does not have a visa agreement), you may need
to get a visa to enter the country. This will require you to send out
your passport to get the visa put into it, which can take as much and
perhaps more than 8 weeks. Therefore, anyone who might need to get a
visa should start very early to get a passport or renew a passport that
has expired or will expire within 6 months of their expected return
date. Information on how to get a passport or visa can be found on our
web site at <http://www.uga.edu/oie/saframe.htm> under the "Overseas
Travel Planning" link on the left side.
Scholarship Deadlines
A reminder to students that the IES grant application for Fall or
Academic programs is due May 1. This is for IES programs only and you
must fill out a FAFSA before filling out the grant application. Please
contact Rebecca Cheney (542-7903) for more information or an
application.
