(Apologies for cross-postings!)
This is a call for discussion topics and an official invite to participate in the Map and Geospatial Data Collection Managers Discussion Group at ALA Annual, Sunday, June 28, 10:30 – 11:30 at the Parc 55 San Francisco (Powell).
One topic that I am sure we will be talking about is geospatial data visualization, tools and library initiatives. I am sure there will be a lot of fodder for discussion after the Saturday program sponsored by MAGIRT and GODORT. “Data Visualization in the Library: Collections, Tools, and Scalable Services” https://magirtgodort.wordpress.com/
Other topics so far include:
Digital Humanities/Geohumanities
Print Archives of GPO and other government publications
Update to the Guide to U.S. Map Resources
If you have topics pertaining to any aspect of map collection or geospatial data management, send them along to me ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) and I will be sure to bring them up during our meeting.
Hope to see you there!
