Dear Ezequiel,
I wanted to tell you again that Campylaea planospira will arrive in its
distribution also
Sicily. Chondrula tridens will also reach Germany north up to Bonn,
distributed through
the Alps from France to SE - Europe. Chondrula tridens mainly is living on
sunny dry slopes,
in fine rubble, also under leaves, sometimes n rocks with vegetation. More
later
Helmut

Hi everyone!
I was wondering if anyone out there could help me find information about
the following species:
Chilostoma planospira
the right used name for this species - as we in Central Europe
are using -
is Campylaea planospira - and it has its distribution southwards
from
Venice to about Rome and Napoli. The other species in Northern
Italy
in the provinces of Trento, Verona, Vicenza, Padova, in the
Veneto to
Brescia is Campylaea illyrica illyrica. These two species are
just separated
for just a long time on their anatomical morphology.
The habitats are slopes, rocky calcareous steps, rocks, walls,
eg. and under
leaf-litter.They live also in gardens. No pest
more later
Helix variabilis
it is not under genus Helix, but under Cernuella and belongs to
family Hygromiidae.
More later. The distribution is Mediterranean, more dryer places
and in dunes.
About the right name later more. They live in gardens too. Not
too much pest,
slightly more than previous species.
Chondrula tridens
Chondrula tridens has quite a large distribution from Central
Europe (Alps),
to SE - Europe and S Europe (Italy) and it lives in dryer
habitats, as on
slopes with fine rubble, but also under leaves and bushes, in
rocky zones, not seldom
subterranean under earth and quite single, not in large groups. No
pest.
I hope this helps for the moment
I need to know:
1. english name
2. distribution
3. habitat
4. syanthropic/anthropohopic?
5. pest?
Thanks in advance
Ezequiel
