I thought they extracted this from crustaceans, but I could be
mis-remembering. It's heavily advertised on the Internet as a miraculous
means of losing weight, but it has no actual effect. There's a fancy
demonstration they do to promote it, showing fat globules forming in a
glass. Nothing like that happens in your gut, which is just as well - the
diarrhoea would put you in hospital. Thankfully, it's just not possible to
consume enough of it to cause a meaningful effect.
