Marcus and others
The genus Thersites contains only three currently accepted species. These are
Thersites richmondiana (Reeve, 1852), northern NSW - southern Qld
Thersites novaehollandiae (Gray, 1834); central NSW - to the Queensland border
Thersites mitchellae (Cox, 1864) - this species is listed as endangered in
NSW. - northern NSW.
The species illustrated does not belong to the genus Thersites and has for
quite some time in Australia not been placed in this genus.
It is nice to talk about snails related to my thesis, therefore I don't
feel bad about replying to the list at the moment.
