Nancy,
The authors of Chlamys rubidus is Hinds, 1845 and Chlamys vexillum
is Reeve, 1853. As for the common names, I also don't have a reference. A
good book for references is Tom Rice's Catalogue of Dealers' Prices. I
never use the price listing because it is always changing, but the
references of shells to authors has saved me many times. Thanks Tom Rice.
