The fossil Cypraea that Kim Hutsell mentioned is a Zoila (Gigantocypraea)
gigas McCoy not a Gisortia gigantea. The Z. gigas looks like a football and
is about 6" in length. according to Don Pisor (and I believe him) it is as
close to perfect as you will see on a Miocene fossil.
