Hi Olivier,
Can you send me a picture, please? Sounds intriguing ...

Subject: [CONCH-L] Any Recent Turritellidae expert here?
I received a question I cannot find any answer. It's a kind of giant
Turritella from SW. England, 99mm - 3.9i long, with six spiral striae
per whorl, two prominent ones being placed near equatorial line. Picture
on request. The shell is dead, maybe subfossil, and was not identified
as a fossil by those who know what a fossil has to be.
Thanks in advance
Olivier Caro
