Hello folks,
I had to relax from my library-desk for a while, so I took a shell book
to browse a little...
Seeing a nice picture of Tridacna gigas, gave birth to a question that
won't leave me : how on earth can I ever manage to purchase myself an
adult Tridacna gigas of about 1,5 m and 200 kg, and not paying three
months salary for it ? And secondly : how can I get a huge shell like
that over to remote Belgium ?
Any ideas ? Anyone who has a nice specimen of this shell flown over
directly to his home from the south ? Who knows a good carpenter to make
me a solid drawer for this... :^)) ?
Briefly : how is it really done to acquire a shell like that, for people
living on the upper half of our globe ...?
Thanks in advance for good tips !
