Hi, James!
Identification of Plesiotrochus can be challenging at times. Another species close to some of those illustrated in the link you sent is Plesiotrochus acutangulus (Yokoyama, 1924). Hardy, in his website, http://www.gastropods.com/9/Shell_16599.shtml, lists it as a synonym of P. souverbianus, but other authors regard it as a valid species.
If anyone knows of any literature references for Plesiotrochus, I would appreciate your help.
Best regards,
Ron Noseworthy

I have two
small lots of Plesiotrochus sp. from the Philippines. They
are the same as seen here:
http://www.conchology.be/?t=27&family=PLESIOTROCHIDAE&species=Plesiotrochus%20unicinctus
A web search turns up this shell under these names:
Plesiotrochus luteus (Gould, 1861)
Plesiotrochus souverbianus Fischer, 1878
Plesiotrochus unicinctus (A. Adams, 1853)
None of these authors figured their shells. What is
the correct name for this taxon?
James
