I received a present not as a result of the subject catalog CONCH-L
thread, but directly related.
A former HMS member, Stanley Jackson, called and asked if we would like
a donation of his shell library as he is no longer using it. Made a
very nice present that probably a lot of shellers would appreciate.
And, in fact, they will get a chance to buy the books on the January and
February Internet Hawaiian Shell News Auctions. I don't have the time
available right now to include the shells, that Stanley also added due
to time required to photo and include the graphics, so these auctions
will be all books. Last year another member, Ruth Hermann who died
several years ago, had arranged for her husband to send a large
collection of shells and books that have been on auction in 1998.
This recycling is a splendid use of books and shells no longer being
studied and is recommended as a trend particularly during this season.
It is better to give than hoard.
You can't take it with you.
Aloha, Wes
