Charonia tritonis is on the Philippine list of shells that are
prohibited to export. It is a CITES signature country and other
countries reciprocate by not allowing import of endangered species on
other country lists. It is prohibited by the U.S. There used to be
many imported and sold on road side stands on Oahu, but you do not see
them now.
