Wish i had a couple of pen shells to give to the cause, or at least a
good Religious Scallop Story - but since i don't i'll just ask a
question that as a "shell man", i've long wondered about: Are there
any known environmental (Natural or man-made) conditions which can cause
gigantism in any taxa of Molluscs? Dwarfing of mollusc populations is a
fairly common situation, but what about the reverse??
Finally giving up on summer in the Great White North (ice is still on
the water-bucket mid-afternoon today!),
Ross.
