Well, Nancy, there is little doubt in my mind that your
picture is a --Cypraea mauritiana--

It's size is a big clue but the pattern is familiar
from juvenile specimens I've seen on those rare, quiet
days when one can snorkle among the boulders that are
normally being pounded by surf.
